Make sure BankFinancial has your most up-to-date contact information. Email and phone will be critical for logging into your new online banking system on June 6. You can update your information in BankFinancial's online banking under settings.

Personal banking frequently asked questions

  • Confirm BankFinancial has your most up-to-date contact information – both email and phone will be critical for logging into your new online banking account on June 6.
  • Know your username. You will need to know it to sign in for the first time.
  • Opt into eStatements if you haven’t already to ensure you are not charged a fee (fee varies depending on account type, but all recurring account fees and paper statement fees will be automatically waived until January 4, 2027).

  • Starting May 20 - Watch your mailbox and inbox for a detailed welcome booklet and letter on using online banking.
  • May 26 - New Visa® debit/ATM cards delivered – DO NOT ACTIVATE until June 8.
  • May 29 - Any bill payments you have scheduled through June 5 will be processed through BankFinancial and through First Financial Bank after June 5, but you will not be able to set up new payments or edit existing payments until you have logged into First Financial’s Online Banking for the first time.

  • June 5 - Branches will close at 4 PM CT. Online banking access ends at 5pm CT.
  • June 6 and 7 - Branches are closed and online banking remains unavailable. Transaction data will not be updated in real-time. You can continue to use your BankFinancial debit card as usual.

  • Branches open at 9am CT on June 8 as First Financial Bank.
  • You can activate your new debit card.
  • It is time to log into online banking for the first time!
  • Explore your new online banking platform.
  • Check that all your bill pay information has transferred over correctly. When your automated withdrawals are supposed to come out, make sure to check that they come out as they are supposed to. Note that your Bill Pay may not populate right away. You may need to log in a few times for Bill Pay to populate.
  • Used Zelle® with BankFinancial? You will need to re-enroll but can do so within your new online banking system. Not a Zelle® user before but want to use Zelle® now? Give us a call to get set up quickly and easily - it's for your protection that we do not automatically enable you for Zelle®. It will take 24 hours before you can use Zelle® and you will need to re-enroll and add your contacts again. We do not offer Zelle® for business

  • May 26 - Preview Period Log-In Access – You’ll have access to ‘preview’ the new f1RSTNAVIGATOR™ portal from May 26 – June 7. This is a great time to validate your login credentials and review the platform. Pre-schedule one-on-one trainings and webinars learn all the tips and tricks to maximize your use of f1RSTNAVIGATOR.
  • May 26 - New Visa® debit/ATM cards delivered – DO NOT ACTIVATE until June 8.

  • June 5 - Branches close at 4 PM CT. Online banking access ends at 5pm CT.
  • June 6 and 7 - Branches are closed and online banking remains unavailable. Transaction data will not be updated in real-time.

  • Visit our dedicated First Navigator page for resources and activate your business Debit card.

Postive Pay

  • It's important to note that you'll need to review and decision your Positive Pay exceptions by 12PM each day. With First Financial, the payment will default to ‘returned’ if not decisioned and will be automatically returned. You will receive special instructions if you use Positive Pay.

Remote Deposit Capture

  • If you use Remote Deposit Capture, watch for an email from tacsupport@tacsuperior.com later this month. We’re using a technology transition partner Superior Press to help you get set up smoothly and easily. 
  • You will not be able to make deposits after June 8 until your new system has been set up.
